New Pantone salt and pepper mills from Heal's...

... went to the Free Range Art Degree shows in Brick Lane. They run over two months from May to July and the last two weeks have been photography.
Had a very enjoyable time - particularly liked these photos of fast food stripped down to its bare essentials!
Oh, and the cute cub accompanying me to the exhibitions was nice too!

Summer is here and actually the weather has not been too bad - sunny and quite mild, not hot but nice...
... it took some encouragement but I finally won my case and together we made a BBQ :)
Here are the results.




It's 10.30pm, but I'm still sat here relaxing on our little patio... lovely!

I haven't posted in a long while and yet so much has changed in my life.
So here goes.

I moved from North West to East London after 13 years in the old place.
I moved out from my ex and in with my current partner (can't say "new" as we've been together since October 2006!)
I changed job from Translator to Project Manager, also switching companies and cities (about time!).
It doesn't sound like much but this has turned my life upside down. I'm still me but my environment is 100% different.
Well, I still have to go to my ex'es to change lightbulbs and empty the hoover. Some things will never change!

I had to take several London buses yesterday due to the fact the little elf helping me choose my Christmas presents will not travel by tube and I couldn't drive into town that early on a weekday without ludicrous penalty to get into town and then to actually park.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and actually we got round quite fast non-rush hour.
However, I could not help but laugh when I came accross *this* today...
... I particularly like the references to punctuality, politeness and order...
They obviously were not on the 55... :D

Happy Chanukah! This is the first Chanukah since 1994 that I am not living in Golders Green, in fact, it was a bit odd seeing the huge Menorah when I had to drop by the other day.
On a separate note, I wonder if my ex Laurence would appreciate these Chanukah presents from New York???
